When planning a cutting diet, you’ll want your calorie deficit to be created by reducing carb and fat intake. However, it’s important to remember that proper fat intake is necessary for both optimal hormone levels and diet adherence. Therefore, you can begin your cut with the 70/30 method in which 70% of your calorie deficit comes from carbs and 30% comes from fat. However, it’s important to remember that diet needs are highly individual, so don’t be afraid to play around with the 70/30 method until you find the right ratio for you!
