Apigenin is a flavone found in parsley and celery and works really well as an anti-anxiety and sleep agent(it’s in SLEEP by @chemixlifestyle). However, it’s also been shown to have an anabolic effect, as well. In this study, the mechanism of action was elucidated to show how apigenin can help you build muscle. Researchers found that apigenin has multiple pathways for muscle growth, including increasing expression of IGF1 and IGF2, as well as a protein called Prmt7. This protein is is responsible for activating the MyoD and Akt/mTOR pathways, which both lead to skeletal muscle Hypertrophy. Supplementing with apigenin also increased running distance by over 100m vs the placebo. Average doses used seem to range from 200-400mg, and I would take it with black pepper extract to increase bioavailability. It’s not commonly used in muscle building products, but it’s found in @dante_trudel product A-bolic4(which also has turkesterone). I first stumbled across this in 2016 when looking for natural anti-anxiety compounds and have used it ever since. It can really be noticed when taking along with other anabolic agents
