If you scroll through social media, you’ll find a ton of 18 years old Natural Bodybuilders that have been training for the past 2 decades, with incredible physiques. It’s incredible how grainy and muscular their bodies look. A real testament to their hardwork!

But that’s what you get when you couple great genetics, optimal mechanics, the willingness to know no limits for yourself… and… and… and st—… steps, daily steps to keep body fat low. Right?

Here’re what I think are the TOP 3 “Cop-outs” influencer-bodybuilders use in 2024 to downplay their use of PEDs which is understandable in some cases, but not always respectable.

1) Genetics: muscle fiber composition, hormone levels, body structure (bone length/width, and muscle insertions) certainly do play a role in great physiques. However, they usually take more credits than they deserve, especially when most people won’t likely reach their muscular limit potential. Let alone in a “couple years”. This cop-out is usually the most favorite, when “nothing else” can justify impressive results.

2) Optimal Mechaincs: people love to throw buzz-words around to sound smart, and when it comes to learning how to train especially as you advance in your training career, maximizing the technique of a movement to get the most out of your training can certainly be a great tool to use. However, thinking that “crazy results” are only a byproduct of “this KEY Secret exercise YOU weren’t doing”, and that they occur FAST, doesn’t really paint the full picture. This is the latest gig cop-out I’ve noticed many new influencers like to use sometimes in a combo with (1), you know, when “nothing else” can justify their results.

3) Accepting no limits: it’s ALL ‘bout the mindset y’know. A champion’s mindset is important when it comes to training and committing to a goal for the long term. And this is how it should be, when you really want to develop your body to the best of its abilities. Importantly, this is done over decades of training and nutrition.

4) Okay, Okay, these all sound great and all. But… What about PEDs? 🤥
