Upper Chest 2 Quick Tips
1️⃣ First, prioritize the Incline Bench in your routine. From research, we know that the exercise you perform first in your training makes the most progress [1]. With an Incline Bench, you focus more on the upper chest [2]. So if you perform the Incline Bench first in your training before the flat bench press, you will improve upper chest development.
2️⃣ Secondly, when you perform cable flyes, prioritize Low-To-High Cable Flyes. The muscle fibers of your upper chest run diagonally up. With a Low-To-High Cable Fly, the resistance runs more in line with the upper chest fibers and they will be trained harder.
I always start my chest workouts with an incline movement!
I have to be very careful due to shoulder issues. I have been pushing hard the last few weeks and have noticed my shirts filling out more in the shoulders and chest.
