how many times to we hear people suggest that kids shouldn’t lift weights ? “lifting stunts growth, it’s bad for your bones… you’re gonna hurt yourself!”
Blah, blah, blah. If anything lifting weights is probably the healthiest thing you can do for your organism, thanks to the myriad of positive effects that it has on all body systems.
Of course the training programs shouldn’t be overly taxing, and at this growing age, making training enjoyable and fun as well as sparking healthy competition is a great way to keep the youth engaged in training. This is important as it establishes a great foundation for long term health within a healthy lifestyle!
