Running: is it bad for your knees ?
This post was inspired and based off the one created by my fellow italian friend and great physio @the.physio.formula (check out her page for more evidence based physio-related tips!)
So the question is..is running bad for your knees? You hear a lot of people say this..yet, the evidence is indeed lacking.
In fact, it’s not true and if anything (as we’ve already seen multiple times) exercise and load actually has a positive effect on all tissues of the bodies.
Specifically, we know that running does NOT cause nor worsen knee arthritis, and actually it can also improve knee pain in people with ostheoarthritis, improves damaged knee cartilage and overall knee health.
The bottom line is.. if you enjoy running, keep that up and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
