Are protein powders as good for quality nutrition and getting enough protein in a day as eating chicken fish etc. ??

Treat them as supplements.

Myself for instance, can’t eat large amounts of meat daily, so I rely on powders to beat macros. But you shouldn’t get all your protein from shakes. I mean, I bet some people can, but digestion could be an issue.

Protein powders are mostly from whey isolate, milk or egg whites and recent vegan ones from peas.

Animal protein has different amino acids chain and it’s better absorbed, more than 70% of people have some kind of intolerance to the dairy from supplements.  Vegan powders lack certain amino acids.

Also, the vitamins from food is definitely better absorbed.

Pros use powder supplements mostly for advertising purposes, food is on the first place.
