3 practical tips to keep making progress, gain muscle & strength!⭕️
1) Don’t be an ‘exercise hopper’, persistence is key: commit to a selected few exercises long enough to achieve remarkable progress. By refining your movement efficiency, you enable yourself to advance at an accelerated rate. Keep in mind that even small increments, such as adding a rep or slightly increasing the load, play an essential role in your long-term gains, even if they may appear insignificant at first!
2) Doing more is not always better! The intensity of your training directly impacts your training volume: High-intensity workouts (near or to failure) necessitate fewer sets per muscle group per week. Conversely, less intense workouts (leaving more reps in the tank for each set) wil demand more sets to compensate for the reduced intensity. One is not necessarily better than the other, context matters!
3) In addition to understanding the relationship between intensity and volume, it’s crucial to acknowledge that results take time. Muscle-building is a protracted process that requires unwavering dedication and consistent effort to produce noticeable outcomes.
Instead of fixating on perfection or seeking shortcuts to expedite progress, learn to savor the journey and accept that achieving your goals may take years. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the small victories, and be patient with yourself as you forge your path to success.
Ultimately, it’s this long-term commitment, persistence, and resilience that will fill you with a sense of pride and accomplishment. Remember, the road to mastery is a marathon, not a sprint, and it’s the unwavering dedication to your craft that will bring you the results you desire.
