4 tips I want to give you, to navigate the current fitness Industry and not miss the forest for the trees in order to keep making progress.

I feel like this post is way overdue, in response to the myriad of new Fitness-related content that I see online, that in my opinion, only end up only complicating stuff for most people.

Exercising does NOT need to be complicated, even when the goal is maximizing hypertrophy, at any level. And while I love simplicity, this is not me being simplistic.

Sure – exercise selection matters, but it’s not as important as actually progressing and making serious gains in a handful of them, over time, by monitoring the training variables that we’re all aware of.

Muscles works in a system, NOT in isolation, and despite some exercises working a muscle preferentially, it does NOT automatically make other exercises worse. In fact, I could probably argue the opposite in *some* cases.

You don’t need to make it fancy to make it effective.

Showing up consistently and “beating your log book”, will always be more important than any other detail you’re focusing on.

TLDR: Pick progressively heavier weights, select a handful of exercises per muscle group, (a combination of compounds & isolation will be more efficient) and get stronger over time. Everything else is superfluous.
