NECK PAIN: STRETCH VARIATIONS

📚Sitting with a forward head posture for an extended period of time can cause restrictions in the neck muscles. Take a break from your computer desk to try out these three stretches.
.
✅Sit on the ipsilateral hand to depress the shoulder to maximize the stretch. Gently pull with the opposite hand for additional stretch.
.
🔘Levator Scapulae – Contralateral side bend, contralateral rotation and flexion (chin tuck, nose to armpit)
.
🔘Scalanes – Contralateral side bend (ear to shoulder)
.
🔘Upper Trap – Contralateral side bend, ipsilateral rotation, and flexion (chin tuck, ear to arm pit)
