πŸ’₯ It’s not because of your TIGHT PSOAS! This is early 2000’s BS that people are told is the reason for their low back pain or hip pain. This makes me cringe and seeing people trying to smash it with heavy objects makes me cringe even more! Guys, you can’t blame pain on one single muscle, the body doesn’t work that way yet I deal with people everyday that are told their issue is from there psoas. Often with these individuals they need specific low back or hip interventions with a focus on their global movement. Here is one good way to challenge hip function to help get rid of any tightness in that area! A thorough low back assessment should be performed with these types of individuals!
.
1️⃣ Fire Hydrant Rotations: holding a fire hydrant position, rotate the hip in and out (internal and external rot). This is challenging the hip stabilizers through motion in different positions, and will help improve overall hip function.
