Since steroids enhance protein synthesis, are steroid users able to digest and use more than 1g of protein / lb of body weight?
I’m very familiar with diets followed by natural athletes, but I’m not sure if a steroid user should do the same, but increase his or her calories
(what would be the macros ratio?)
I believe there are some studies. Naturals are ok with 0.8g per pound, while enhanced athletes do better with 1.2g.
Nice, I think we found the same studies as well citing 0.64g to 0.82g / lb of body weight.
Most likely the studies were done on naturals since they were testing protein and not AAS.
I’m designing my diet, but I also don’t want to justify over eating just because I’m cycling.
The human mind is powerful and might trick us to believe we are getting “bigger”, when in fact we might be getting fatter, lol.
Another number I heard was 1.6g/kg for naturals and 2.0g/kg for enhanced athletes. Can do up to 2.5 if cutting and restricting carbs.
How much do you guys think kidneys can process, long term, for keeping overall good health !?
is 2g / kg feasible long term ?
I guess quality source also plays a role and what other cleansing / detox programs you do.
