Training muscles at longer lengths for superior results ?
Understanding how to train a muscle to increase its strength & thickness has always been a hot topic in the fitness industry.
More recently, research has been pointing the finger towards training muscles at longer lengths (preferentially), as opposed to shortened ones.. for superior results!
This has indeed been showing to be the case when comparing longer lengths to shorter lengths …despite receiving a lot of criticism from the community.
Of course, more research is needed because single studies don’t necessarily refute a hypothesis, and the limitations (like for every study) need to be taken in consideration. However it’s important to take these results objectively, and with no bias, in order to compliment our current understanding of the muscle building process.
