Big Quads and Heavy Squats rhyme together, do you think that’s a coincidence?

Of course not. That’s because squat-like movements, that focus on maximizing knee flexion, which stretch the quadriceps under load, will provide immense benefits to their growth, from a hypertrophic standpoint.

And those exercises have been there since.. forever. Despite what the new “optimal” biomechanical wave suggests.

Just like for other muscles, even quadriceps benefit from training at longer muscle lengths (which means loading them at their most lengthened/stretched position), so much so, that even partial reps–when carried at longer muscle lengths–show great hypertrophic benefits!

As always though, what will matter the most will be monitoring important variables, like the right dosage of training Intensity, Volume, and Frequency in order to recover quickly and progress as much as possible.
